Well finally got to get some more work done.

So far this weekend I removed all the Styrofoam flotation that was not allowing the pipes to clear. On the left side of the boat you pretty much have to remove all of the Styrofoam from the gas tank back about 9. The easiest way to achieve this is to remove (just pull hard) the front portion of the flotation and then use a long knife (I used an old steak knife I found laying around) to cut the entire front piece off.

On the right side you have to remove the motor from its mounts and slide it to the left. Once you have the motor over, you pretty much have to just make the same 9 cut as you did on the otherside. With removing this flotation in 2 large chunks I believe I will beable to relocate the foam behind the motor above the waterbox, I also plan on removing some foam from a few ski vests I have laying around, to increase the capacity. Im sure none of this is necessary, but if the boat ever sinks I dont want insurance company to start pointing fingers.

After the foam was removed I was able to test fit and mock up the 3 pipes. Everything went together great, and it looks pretty sweet to see all three pipes mounted up. One thing I noticed is both pipes 1 and 2 are sitting on the bottom of the hull, so I am going to look for 2 small pieces of rubber (similar to what Kawi uses around the waterbox) to put under the pipes. Also the 1st pipe comes very close to the ignition box, so I might end up relocating the box infront of the engine. I plan on making a metal bracket to mount the full pumps and vapor separator from the metal cross member, so I might just expand that idea to include the ignition box. I plan on rewiring the sparkplug leads and boots, so wire lengths wont be an issue. (yet shorter is better I guess)

Finally this morning I was able to paint the pipes. I decided to paint the pipes each a different color so that the pipes stand out when looking under the seat. I ended up using an engine gloss paint, and primer. So know the pipes have 2 coats of ceramic covering, 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of color, and 2 coats of clear. They are probably 1/8 thicker then when I got them = ) But in the end I think they look pretty sweet!

Next step: Wiring Hopefully this week I will beable to complete the control panel and begin running more wires through the stock harness.

Thanks for the suggestion. However last summer I was beginning to suspect an ignition wire was cracked, and AutoZone wants $20 for 6 feet of plug wire.

Yes, the individual carb returns are blocked off, but the separator has a return line, and re stricter. Once I am able to rerun all the fuel lines that came with the setup, I will add a T before the restricter for a pressure gauge, and then also T after the restricter for the Primer pump. It will be allot of fuel lines to run, and I don't think I will ever really "need" the separator, but since it came with the package... Might as well have some fun!

Good luck with the level 1.5 does that include the new "stealth" exhaust? I was really looking into a 1.5 or 2 but when I saw this setup on e-bay I just couldn't pass it up. I think these triples will keep my blood pumping for a while Keep us upto date on your project. With everyone wrenching this winter we should have some pretty fast skies in the spring...
